The waters of the fjord are rich with almost every kind of fish from the North Sea and Solvåg FjordFerie has developed a specific fishing map for hobby fishermen. The large, solid boats, for hire, are well suited to fishing trips along the fjord. All the larger boats are equipped with sonar equipment, and some also have GPS and electronic positioning and charting equipment. Solvåg FjordFerie also has small boats, canoes, an optimist dinghy with sail, and a small 5 meter motor boat suitable for cruises the islands. Don’t forget to take the chance to pick mushrooms and berries during summer and autumn. On the farm lies an old Viking Age burial mound that dates back to between 500 - 1000 AD.
